Megan Thee Stallion on Feud with Nicki Minaj: “I Still, to This Day, Don’t Know What the Problem is”

Megan thee Stallion recently chatted with Billboard about her career, third album, and thoughts on Kamala Harris possibly becoming the first Black and Asian female president. During the interview, she also broke her silence about the ongoing tension with Nicki Minaj, revealing that she’s just as she’s just as confused as the rest of us.

The Houston hottie was straightforward when asked if there was a chance of reconciling with Nicki. “I still, to this day, don’t know what the problem is,” Megan confessed. “I don’t even know what could be reconciled because I, to this day, don’t know what the problem is.”

The two rappers were on good terms back in 2019 when they collaborated on “Hot Girl Summer.” However, things reportedly went off course in 2022 after a joke Megan made at a party didn’t sit well with Nicki. While Nicki suggested that incident sparked their disagreement, it remains unclear why it led to a more prolonged conflict. Some fans think the real issue might have been Megan’s 2020 collaboration with Cardi B on “WAP,” a song that became a major hit. In 2023, Nicki appeared to aim some subtle digs at Megan on her track “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which fueled more speculation about their fallout.

Earlier this year, the situation escalated when both artists released diss tracks. Megan dropped her single “Hiss,” where she addressed several critics, including Nicki. In response, Nicki released “Big Foot,” followed by several social media rants.
