Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, has filed a defamation lawsuit in the Southern District of Florida against social media personality Milagro Gramz, whose real name is Milagro Elizabeth Cooper. The lawsuit claims that Cooper has been spreading damaging falsehoods about Megan to support rapper Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson), who was convicted in 2022 of assaulting Megan in a high-profile case.

According to court documents, Megan accuses Cooper of using her online platform to share misinformation with tens of thousands of followers, allegedly in a coordinated effort to undermine Megan’s reputation in connection with the shooting incident. The complaint highlights that Cooper has allegedly been promoting “false statements” since the 2020 indictment of Lanez, continuing throughout his December 2022 conviction and up until the present.
Megan’s lawsuit contends that Cooper acted as an “online rumor mill,” dedicated to spreading misinformation in support of Lanez. The complaint claims that Cooper’s posts were part of a targeted campaign designed to “denigrate, belittle, insult, and spread false statements” about Megan, allegedly performing Lanez’s “public bidding” to harm her reputation. Megan seeks a jury trial and damages for the ongoing harm she claims these actions have caused.
The lawsuit follows Lanez’s conviction, which brought renewed scrutiny to Megan’s experiences in the music industry and the public harassment she faced online. Throughout the trial, Megan spoke openly about the emotional toll of facing doubters and critics, many of whom, like Cooper, questioned her account of the incident.
Megan is demanding a jury trial to determine the outcome, with her legal team asserting that Cooper’s posts have crossed the line from commentary to harmful defamation.
