Meghan Markle couldn’t stray away from her passion of acting for too long after becoming Duchess of Sussex, and just after she and husband Prince Harry announced they would be stepping down from the Royal Family, Markle has signed a voice-acting deal with Disney.
According to The Times, the deal was reportedly signed in exchange for Markle’s donation to the anti-poaching organization Elephants Without Borders. Sources say the deal becomes a point of conflict with other members of the royal family and maybe the contributing factor in Meghan and Harry’s decision to step down as senior members.
While Markle and her husband have remained active, they have not received personal payment for any appearances or work they have done. Instead, payments go towards various charitable organizations like Elephants Without Borders.
For those who weren’t aware, Markle was a rising American actress prior to marrying into the royal family, working on television and in film. Her best-known role as Rachel Zane in 108 episodes of the USA Network legal drama ‘Suits.’
Some of her other tv credits include roles in ‘CSI: Miami,’ ‘CSI: NY,’ ‘The League,’’ Without a Trace,’ and ’General Hospital.’ Her film credits include Horrible Bosses, Get Him to the Greek, Remember Me, Anti-Social, Dysfunctional Friends, and Random Encounters.
When Meghan and Harry said they wanted to get their own bag, they were NOT playing. Congratulations, Meghan!
