“We Don’t Believe You, You Need More People!” – Florida Highway Patrol, probably.
On Wednesday, TMZ reported Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha, who recently made headlines for staging their father’s paparazzo photos ahead of the Royal wedding, was hospitalized after a “confrontation with paparazzi.”
According to the publication, Samantha’s boyfriend said the two were driving by a tollbooth in Florida when the photographer veered in front of them to get a shot. He said he tried to move around him but he hit a concrete barrier, which sent Samantha into the windshield and back onto the car mat. She reportedly suffered a broken ankle and a fractured knee.

Now, after a three-hour investigation, Florida Highway Patrol is calling BS.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to the Daily Mail, the investigation into Samantha’s boyfriend’s story turned up empty, as officials were unable to find any evidence that a crash even happened.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“We looked for three hours last night. We checked by her name, we checked by his name and we didn’t find any reports. So we don’t know if this actually happened.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, they did warn that he could be guilty of a hit and run for failing to report the accident. “Even if they hit a stationary property such as a wall under Florida law you are required to report that to law enforcement,” Montes said. “If you didn’t that’s considered to be a hit and run.”

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Montes also said TMZ could not provide a time of the alleged accident, and could only say the accident happened on Interstate 4, which is a 133-mile long highway that runs between Tampa and Daytona Beach. Problem is, that stretch does not have a tollbooth. Despite the discrepancy, Montes said she expanded the search to the Florida Turnpike and all major roads in Ocala, where Samantha lives, but still couldn’t find anything.

But, if the accident did happen and the occupants drove away the driver could be facing up to 60 days in prison and a $500 fine for second-degree misdemeanor property damage. And if Samantha was thrown into the windshield that could mean she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, which is another violation.
