Megyn Kelly’s morning show “Megyn Kelly Today” has been cancelled following her insensitive comments regarding blackface earlier this week, confirmed by NBC.
This decision comes 48 hrs after Megyn Kelly received major backlash for questioning what was racist about white people darkening their skin for Halloween costumes on her show. She said, “When I was a kid, that was OK, so long as you were dressing up as a character.” Kelly was born in 1970 by the way. She told an all-white panel at the time, “I can’t keep up with the number of people we’re offending just by being normal people.”
The talk show host tried to rectify the ordeal by giving a tearful apology on-air and having two black panelists to discuss the terrible history of the practice, all to no avail. “Megyn Kelly is done. She is not ever coming back,” said an NBC executive. “We are just working out timing of the announcement but mark my word, she is gone and will never be seen on NBC live again.” Sheesh!
But Kelly may not be all that worried. According to DailyMail.com, there are tentative conversations about Kelly returning to Fox News, whose viewers despise what they perceive as ‘political correctness’ and would likely welcome her back with open arms.
