Mel B and Eddie Murphy’s child is living in his truth, and both parents are standing by him.
The 18-year-old, formerly known as Angel, recently updated his Instagram bio to reflect his identity as a transgender man, changing his pronouns to “he/him.” While the move wasn’t formally announced, fans noticed the change on social media as his profile now reflects his chosen identity.
Sources close to the family say the decision was deeply personal and made on his own terms.
Despite not issuing a formal statement, Mel B. showed her love and support in a touching birthday message posted weeks earlier to celebrate her son turning 18.
In the post, she expressed pride in the person he’s become, writing that he’ll “forever be my baby” while encouraging him to stay kind and chase his dreams.
The former Spice Girl has reportedly been fully supportive of her son’s journey. The “Coming to America” star is also said to be completely understanding, offering private support as their son steps confidently into adulthood.
