Mel B’s Friend Says She “Solicited” Him to “Harm” Her Ex-Husband Stephen Belafonte

As the longstanding legal battle between #MelB and #StephenBelafonte continues, a new declaration has been filed against the former Spice Girl. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In new court documents obtained by The Blast, a mutual friend of the former couple claimed the singer asked him to harm her ex-husband, or at least alluded to it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“I found the statement to be alarming it was obvious to me that Melanie was some to help her harm Stephen. I ended our conversation and walked away,” Derek Craig Daniel said in his declaration.

According to the court docs, the incident occurred on February 28, 2018 at a L.A. restaurant, where Daniel approached Mel with small talk. However, he said she responded with complaints about “what a terrible person Stephen was.”

“She repeatedly told me that everyone including her would be better off if Stephen was in jail or dead,” he said. “I specifically recall Melanie repeatedly stating that she would be better off if Stephen were dead.”

A few months later, Daniel informed Stephen about the conversation, as he claimed he hadn’t seen him before then.
