Melania Trump Tells Me Too Accusers They “Need to Show The Evidence”

As the Trump Administration battled a high profile sexual assault allegation here in the United States in favor of newly appointed Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh, Melania Trump fell under the radar on her solo trip to Africa.

ABC had a chance to catch up with Melania to get her thoughts on the situation. Melania says, “I do stand with women. But we need to show the evidence. You cannot just say to somebody, ‘I was sexually assaulted or you did that to me,’ because sometimes the media goes too far and the way they portray some stories, it’s not correct.”

Melania also spoke on how #MeToo not only affects women but men too.“I support the women and they need to be heard,” she explained to ABC. “We need to support them. And also men, not just women.”

Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women and has made it clear that “it is a very scary time for young men in America,” according to TIME.
