Two members of Nicki Minaj’s crew were victims of horrible violence in Philly recently while preparing for her upcoming “The Pinkprint” tour. Nicki the news on Instagram. “these guys flew into Philly for my tour rehearsals 2 days ago and were both stabbed last night,” she posted. “#RIPDAYDAY condolences to your family. Unbelievable. Eric (on the right) is recovering. Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad.”
The incident reportedly took place at Philly’s Che Bar & Grill around 2:35am. De’Von “Day Day” Pickett, 29, of the Bronx, NY was with Eric Reed, 27, and three other friends inside the bar around when they got into an argument with another group of men. Once the fight spilled outside, one of the men pulled a knife. De’Von Pickett (Day Day) sustained multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at 2:45am Wednesday morning. Eric Parker is listed in critical condition with stab wounds to his left arm and left side.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene. Police say the suspect was last seen driving off in a gray Buick LeSabre. He is described as a 30-year-old man standing 5-foot, 8-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds with a full beard. He was last seen wearing a black and gray jacket.
