Following the controversy with Ja Morant, the Memphis Grizzlies have made the decision to hit the road immediately following away games.Â
The team is implementing this temporary policy to prevent any further embarrassment from Morant or any other player. The 23-year-old was the topic of an NBA and police investigation when he was seen on Instagram Live brandishing a gun in a Colorado strip club earlier this month. Morant sat down with Jalen Rose for an exclusive interview where he expressed regret for his action but promised to set a better example for fans moving forward.Â

Despite Morant’s new outlook, the team is not sold and is taking precautions to prevent further mishaps. Â Major party cities such as Miami will be left immediately following games instead of staying overnight. Â Morant’s infamous strip club incident took place after the Grizzlies’ game against the Denver Nuggets. Â The team was still in the area when the young player decided to let loose.Â
Morant confirmed that he’d be getting help for his issues after several distasteful public displays. Â He is currently suspended for eight games without pay.Â
Morant says he made a mistake and is looking forward to showing people the real him moving forward.
