The Three Men Convicted of Killing XXXTentacion Sentenced to Life in Prison

The three men convicted of killing XXXTentacion in a 2018 robber were sentenced to life in prison.

Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome were handed down their life sentences in a Broward County, Florida courtroom Thursday. The men will have no chance for parole or early release for good behavior.

Soloman Sobande, the rapper’s former manager, read a statement on behalf of the family during the sentencing, per NBC Miami.

“This is a loss we will never truly recover from,” Sobande said, per the outlet. “We will never get to see Jahseh live to his full potential, we will never get to watch him grow old, we will never get to watch him be a father.”

Last month, the accused shooter 28-year-old Boatwright, accused second gunman Newsome, 24, and accused getaway driver and ringleader Williams, 26, were found guilty of armed robbery and first-degree murder.

A fourth man, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last year and accepted a plea deal in exchange for his cooperation. He’s still awaiting sentencing.

XXXTentacion, formally known as Jahseh Onfroy, died in June 2018 following a robbery outside a South Florida motorcycle shop.
