Management for a Luxury Apartment Building in Florida Discovered a Meth Lab in One of its Units: ‘It’s Pretty Bizarre’

A meth lab was found in a Florida luxury apartment.

On Monday, an apartment building’s management found a lab built to produce methamphetamine on the 15th floor of an apartment building in Majestic Towers Condo in Bal Harbour. While preparing to move another tenant into the unit, management came across the lab.

“It’s pretty bizarre — I didn’t think meth labs happened [here],” said a local resident, the New York Post reports. The former tenant had recently been evicted.

In response, the building’s management temporarily removed tenants of three floors to ensure their safety as the lab was removed. Police have not confirmed what type of drugs were produced there.

Investigators are looking into the last person who rented the unit.
