Metro Boomin responds to speculation surrounding Drake and Future‘s alleged beef.
On Sunday, the music producer addressed rumors regarding a potential feud between Drake and Future, mainly focusing on a claim that suggested their discord revolved around a woman.
“Y’all n*ggas stop making stuff up for engagement and enjoy the music,” Metro said on X.

After the release of Future and Metro’s collaborative album, “We Don’t Trust You,” rumors of beef between the “Mask On” rapper and Drake began circulating. The album includes a verse from Kendrick Lamar targeting Drake and J. Cole, alongside several lyrics from Future that seem to be directed at his once-collaborative partner.
Future rapped, “You a n*gga No. 1 fan, dog/ Sneak dissin’, I don’t understand, dog/ Pillow talkin’, actin’ like a fed, dog/ I don’t need another fake friend, dog/ Can’t be ’bout a h*e, ’cause we sharin’, dog/ In your feelings, n*gga, why you playin’, dog?”
Future and Drake share a significant history, including their 2015 joint mixtape “What a Time To Be Alive,” a series of chart-topping singles like “Life Is Good,” “Wait For U,” and “Where Ya At,” and a successful co-headlining tour. However, tensions between Drake and Metro Boomin escalated after the producer criticized the success of “Her Loss,” Drake’s collaboration project with 21 Savage, despite his involvement in the project.
When it was highlighted that Metro’s album “Heroes & Villains” had garnered more streams than any rap album since 2018, he seized the opportunity to indirectly criticize Drake.
“Yet Her Loss keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V. Proof that award shows are just politics and not for me. Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people’s everyday lives,” Metro wrote.
