Miami Heat Veteran Udonis Haslem has filed a lawsuit against a veterinary hospital after it accidentally “castrated” his dog without permission.
In a lawsuit obtained by Miami Herald, Haslem said he brought his dog, Juice, to the Cooper City vet in May to remove a rope the pup swallowed. Although the hospital successfully removed the rope, Haslem said they also neutered his dog without permission and the medical necessity.
Now, the veteran baller is looking to cash in on the hospital’s alleged mistake.
According to the publication, Haslem had planned to sell his dog’s semen samples, as “champion bloodline Cane Corso” semen samples can range from $3,500 to $10,000, which can be collected as frequently as every day.
He said he planned to breed his dog and sell the puppies, and spent over $30,000 in Juice’s training for him to serve as a family guard dog. But now, as a result of the hospital’s negligence, Haslem said the hospital cost him “not only a needed guard dog and $30,000 in training fees but hundreds of thousands or more in lost income.”
