Rapper Miami Tip, formerly known as Tip Drill, appeared on the I Talk Grey Podcast, where she opened up about being a young dancer and dating a much older man.
During the interview, she revealed that she first started dancing at 16 years old, but it only lasted for a short time. Her child’s father very quickly put an end to it.
“I started dancing at 16, but I only did like 30 days, and then my baby daddy stopped me,” she said in the teaser clip. “Then I got pregnant, but I was already with my baby daddy since I was 14.”
The host asked if it was young high school love, which the former dancer immediately shut down. She explained that her boyfriend was a lot older than her, and now she feels like she was being groomed.
“No, something like that. ‘Cause that n*gga was 24. I was 14,” Tip said. “I don’t want to say no young love because that situation was like a — he was preppin’ me.”
The Love & Hip Hop: Miami star eventually went back to dancing but called it quits for good after falling 30 feet from a stripper pole in 2012. The fall left her with multiple injuries, forcing her to transition into a new career.
Tip started successfully releasing music before moving into reality TV. She added author to her resumé after releasing “The Bottom Line,” an anthology of stories told through the eyes of women working in nightlife.
