Michael B. Jordan is breaking his silence on all of those Superman rumors.
For the past few years, there have been several rumors and wishful thoughts floating around about Jordan becoming the next Man of Steel. Earlier this year, the rumors resurfaced after a report from Variety claimed Jordan met with Warner Bros. Studios to pitch his idea of the DC character.
While discussing his latest film, “Just Mercy,” MTV News asked about whether the Superman rumors are true. “I’ve been rumored to play Morpheus to Superman to ‘Duck Tales’ reboot, to ‘Power Rangers’ and everything in between, so it’s like, I’m kind of used to the rumors I’m playing something,” he said. “But anything that I do dive into has to be done the right way. It has to be full of authenticity.”
Jordan went on to say that when it comes to his roles, authenticity is key. “If I ever were to dabble in anything,” Jordan said, “it would be authentic, and something that I feel like people would really support.” The actor said he hasn’t made any solid commitments to the hero just yet.
