Collectors are once again placing bids on a uniquely shaped Flamin’ Hot Cheeto—this time, one that resembles Michael Jordan’s iconic Jumpman logo. The snack is currently up for auction at Goldin Auctions, following the viral sale of a Charizard-shaped Cheeto that sold for a staggering $87,840 earlier this month.
The Jumpman Cheeto, measuring three inches long, is displayed in a diorama replicating the famous 1985 Nike photo that inspired Jordan’s signature logo. It is encased in plastic, with the back featuring Jordan’s career highlights and stats from his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls in 1984.
The auction opened Wednesday, and after two bids, the current price stands at $336. Bidding will remain open until March 29.
Goldin Auctions has seen success in the snack-turned-memorabilia market before. The Charizard Cheeto, nicknamed “Cheetozard,” was discovered between 2018 and 2022 and gained widespread attention after Paul Bartlett, a Georgia-based sports memorabilia shop owner, posted it on Instagram last year. The post went viral, racking up over 500,000 likes. Bartlett originally purchased the Cheeto for $350 on eBay in 2019 before it eventually sold for nearly six figures.
As the demand for rare snack collectibles grows, other oddly shaped Cheetos—including ones resembling the Loch Ness Monster and astronaut Neil Armstrong—have also surfaced for sale. Time will tell if the Jumpman Cheeto will follow in Charizard’s footsteps and fetch a high price at auction.
