For the last few weeks, basketball fans have enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at Michael Jordan’s time with the Chicago Bulls in the 10-part docuseries The Last Dance.
In the very first episode of the miniseries, Jordan revealed that the Bulls organization in the early 1980s was a “traveling cocaine circus.”
While many social media users found this tidbit of information to be funny, former Bulls player Craig Hodges wasn’t humored by this revelation.
“One of the things as players we call this a fraternity. So I’m watching the first episode, and I was upset about the ‘cocaine circus,’” Hodges said on The Odd Couple podcast.
While Hodges wasn’t a member of the team at the time of the alleged drug fest, he found it unnecessary to reveal as it wasn’t anyone’s business.
“That bothered me because I was thinking about the brothers who are on that picture with you, who have to explain to their families who are getting ready to watch this great Michael Jordan documentary event and they know you’re on the team …and now you’ve got to explain that to a 12-year-old boy,” he continued.
Episodes 7 and 8 of ‘The Last Dance’ will continue this Sunday.
