“Power” star Michael Rainey Jr. says he tried to help Lil Meech, but things didn’t exactly go as planned.
Rainey took a moment to answer fan questions under a recent TikTok video he posted. One user suggested that Rainey, who starred in the original “Power” and its spin-off, “Power Book II: Ghost,” should have taken Meech under his wing. The actor responded by revealing that he made an attempt but implied that Meech wasn’t receptive to the guidance.
“Tried to, he wanted to be big bro so bad,” Rainey wrote.
Lil Meech, known for portraying his father Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory in the hit Starz series “BMF,” entered the acting world more recently than Rainey, who had been in the “Power” universe from 2014 until “Power Book II: Ghost” ended in October 2024. 50 Cent recently praised Rainey and his mother Shauna Small for managing his money well throughout his career.
Rainey landed his first role at age ten in the Italian film, “UN ALTRO MUNDO.” From there, he starred in American films such as “LUV,” “Barbershop 3,” “211” and more. Meech is fairly new to entertainment, with “BMF” being his first role. Unfortunately, with 50 Cent now feuding with Big Meech, the “BMF” series could be done for good.
Lil Meech has not yet responded to Rainey’s comments.
