Michael Rapaport took to Twitter to expose expletive-filled direct messages he received from Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, in which the NBA star allegedly threatened the outspoken actor and called him homophobic slurs.
Rapaport posted screenshots of DMs he received from Durant’s official account on Tuesday, saying “I receive threats and disgusting messages DAILY, but never in my wildest dreams did I think @KDTrey5 would be among them,” he wrote.
Rapaport shared the messages with his social media followers accusing KD of threatening him, “The (snake emoji) himself is now threatening me, bringing up my wife and wants to fight. This is supposed to be America’s sweetheart right?”
The message thread, which dates back to last year, shows Durant apparently taking issue with things that Rapaport had said about him in the media. The screenshots show Durant calling the actor a “b*tch”, a “p*ssy” and a “pale face c*ck sucker,” among other things.
KD then seemingly confirmed the messages were real by tweeting and apologizing in a response to a fan’s tweet saying, “Me and mike talk CRAZIER than this on the regular and today he’s pissed….My bad mike, damn!!,” the Nets star wrote lightheartedly.
But Durant may not be laughing if the NBA has anything to say about it. Players have faced fines and suspensions in the past for the use of offensive language and anti-gay slurs after taking trash talking a little too far.
