Amid the legal battle between Jill Scott and her estranged husband Mike Dobson over their divorce, Dobson has issued a threatening letter to the Philly-bred songstress for speaking out about their marital issues on the internet.
Over the weekend, Scott took to Instagram to post two highly questionable videos. In one of the posts, Scott looked drunk and emotional, as she switched between laughs and tears. In the other, Scott shared a video of her son explaining the meaning of love, which prompted the legal warning.

According to @bossipofficial, Dobson’s legal team warned Scott to stay off the internet with their business, as it is a direct violation of the judge’s court order, which prohibits both parties from discussing the matter on social media.

In the letter, Dobson’s team said Scott’s recent actions were “very inappropriate,” especially to “use her son as a way of speaking out,” sources told the publication.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, Scott quickly fired back, again via social media, claiming that her posts had nothing to do with her divorce.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Y’all got to stop assuming EVERYTHING is about my divorce,” Scott wrote. “Sh*t’s dumb. I’ve NEVER fit in a box; no matter how big it is. Let that thing go out cha mind because IT’s OUT OF MINE.”
