Every few months, for the last couple of years, an article about Houston rapper Mike Jones being arrested for human trafficking goes viral. The article originated from a satire site, and no matter how many times the story goes around, people believe it.Â
In the fake news article it says that Mike Jones and a friend forced women in San Antonio, TX to work as prostitutes. It claimed that Jones and his accomplished were charged with 34 counts of human trafficking and came with a “police report” to back up the story.Â
Apparently the rapper is tired of hearing about the rumor and has taken to his official Twitter account to lay the rumors to rest once and for all.
Jones posted a screenshot of an email from San Antonio SVU’s Sgt. Bill Grayson. “Setting the Record Straight ! Call the Sgt of the City where they say the rumor happened n see what he say!,” he tweeted. “I swear People will Believe Anything! The time these people be having to come up with these rumors amaze me!”
Â
I guess that clears up this rumor until next year.
