Mike Tyson addresses the JetBlue incident that caused him to attack another passenger.
Last month, Tyson was filmed punching a passenger multiple times on a JetBlue flight. On his Hotboxin’ podcast, Tyson discussed the incident with former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.
The 55-year-old boxer says he became agitated that the passenger wouldn’t leave him alone after taking pictures with him.
“He was f*cking with me, man,” Tyson said.
Mike Tyson finally broke his silence about his confrontation on a JetBlue flight with an out-of-control passenger, and one thing's clear … he's really pissed over what went down. https://t.co/26pLqrzCHj

Tyson then explains that his wife doesn’t approve of him flying on commercial flights. He added that a situation like he experienced on that flight “triggers me.” Tyson’s representatives said the passenger harassed and threw a water bottle at the Hall of Fame boxer before he retaliated.
The conversation led to Tyson recalling a fan throwing something at him during the 1997 fight with Evander Holyfield.
“The Holyfield fight, people were [throwing stuff]. I ran up to go [punch someone] I was running out to go. I ran up in the house trying to get this motherf*cker,” Tyson said before admitting assaulting a fan is a lose/lose situation.
