In two separate interviews Miley Cyrus said she is bringing back Hannah Montana, much to fans delight.
“You know what honestly, I try to put that wig on all the time. She’s just in storage collecting dust and I’m ready to whip her out… The opportunity will present itself. I definitely would like to resurrect her at some point. She needs a big makeover because she’s kinda stuck in 2008, so we’ll need to go shopping with Miss Montana. And also yea I’d love to do a series again. I think it would be hard for me to get locked into a soundstage for a couple of years, but that’s sometime in the future and hopefully, I’m directing it.” Cyrus revealed during a recent interview with Carolina With Greg T In The Morning.
Miley Cyrus’s run as Hannah Montana dominated Disney Channel from 2006 to 2011. The series was centered around Hannah, a preteen girl who’s alter ego was a vivacious pop star.
Last year, Cyrus teased fans with the possibility for a comeback of her iconic character, which became a household name. In a Twitter video, the 27-year-old said “I’ll just be Hannah forever.”
During a Monday call-in interview with Nashville’s 107.5 The River on Monday, Cyrus once again confirmed the return of Hannah Montana, saying “at some point, I’m definitely…I’m getting the wig out of storage.”
