Millennium Tour Miami Stop: Trina Talks ‘Special’ Upcoming R&B Project, Ja Rule Shares His Favorite Artists and Soulja Boy Reveals a New Movie is on the Way

The 2021 Millennium Tour had everyone outside on Saturday, November 5, at the FTX Arena in Miami. OG artists like Omarion, Bow Wow, Ashanti, and Lloyd graced the stage with some of their hottest, most popular songs from the 2000s. Appearances from the Ying Yang Twins, Pretty Ricky, and “The Baddest B*tch,” Trina were made and had the crowd going crazy.

After leaving it all on the stage, Trina, Soulja Boy, and Ja Rule joined Baller Alert for exclusive interviews.

Ja Rule told Baller Alert journalist Angie B that it’s always a pleasure to perform alongside his sister, Ashanti. The dynamic duo created some of the best songs in the 2000s, including “Foolish,” “Mesmerise,” and of course, “Always On Time.”

“It’s always dope working with her. We do a lot of shows together. That’s my girl forever,” said Ja Rule.

He also mentioned how R&B artists are killing the game right and which artists are catching his ear. “I like a lot of the new R&B singers,” he said. “SZA, Jazmine Sullivan, H.E.R. There’s so many of good talent.” Ja made sure to say also mention Snoh Alegra’s name as one of the ladies he enjoys listening to.

Trina, aka “The Baddest B*tch,” has been on tracks with some of the hottest new rap girls in the game, but she told Baller Alert she’s “really more R&B than anything.” “When it’s time for me to make an album, they have to kinda stop me from going in that direction because I swear I want to make an R&B album,” said Trina.

Trina has been wanting to do an R&B album for a while and has a “real special project” coming for us soon. “Just because I feel like it, and I can. You’re going to hear that from me soon. I absolutely love the R&B girls,” said Trina.

Soulja Boy mentioned how Florida has always supported him since day one so performing in Miami was special for him. “The audience turned me up as soon as I hit the stage. Man! Big shoutout to Florida,” Soulja said to stay tuned for his album and movie coming out in 2022.

“Cities like Louisianna, Atlanta, Chicago, Ohio, and Detroit have really been rocking with him,” said Soulja Boy. “I’m really enjoying the tour!”
