Misa Hylton is putting motherhood front and center as her son, Justin Combs, navigates the legal firestorm surrounding Diddy.
Despite recovering from a leg injury, Hylton showed up to Diddy’s sex trafficking trial in New York City, walker in hand, to support their son, whose name has been brought up amid the growing allegations.
She broke her silence in a heartfelt Instagram post, explaining why she made the difficult trip.
“Yes, I’m good. I’m on my healing journey,” she wrote. “But when my son said, ‘Mommy, I need you,’ I didn’t hesitate. I showed up, walker and all.”
Hylton made it clear that being a mother is her top priority. “I’m a mother first. I’m my son’s strength. That’s just what it is,” she said firmly. She also addressed critics, adding, “If you don’t get that, then you’re not aligned with who I am or how I live. And that’s fine with me.”
She didn’t just speak for herself, she uplifted others dealing with physical challenges too. “To anyone using mobility aids: don’t ever feel ashamed. These tools are here to help us heal and live.”
Before ending her message, she called on people to lead with faith and compassion. “If you have God in your heart, pray for us. Be kind. Think critically. Keep your head high.”
She continued, “P.S. It took everything in me not to walk out the courthouse like Pac. If you know, you know.”
As you know, Hylton and Diddy dated in the early ’90s and welcomed Justin in December 1993. While their romantic relationship ended long ago, their bond as co-parents has remained intact.
