According to authorities, the body of a missing Arkansas woman was located under her ex-boyfriend’s mattress Monday.
Robin Elizabeth Allmon, 42, had been missing for a few days when she was found wrapped in a sheet under a mattress in Maurice Winda’s home, WREG reports. She was reportedly dead for some time, and authorities could identify her by her tattoos and the help of a family member.
An autopsy will determine an official cause of death.
“The last known person for her to be with was her ex-boyfriend, and he had been abusing her and assaulting her,” Nancy Allman, the daughter of Allmon, told WREG. Allman believes her mother may have been taken to the house against her will.
Winda, considered a person of interest, did not show up to his job Tuesday at the city of Hughes Sanitation Department. Police are now searching for Winda, whose whereabouts are unknown.
