Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell took a bit of a tumble during a private dinner at a swanky hotel in Washington, DC. Â According to a spokesperson for the Kentucky Republican, the 81-year-old fell and has since been hospitalized for treatment.
Now, we don’t have any extra details about the incident just yet, but it’s definitely a cause for concern. Â After all, McConnell is the longest-serving GOP leader in the Senate and has played a key role in advancing the party’s agenda. Â From packing the Supreme Court with conservative justices to passing Trump-era tax cuts, he’s been a thorn in the side of the Democrats for years.
