Miya Ponsetto, the woman who outrageously attacked a black teen after she falsely accuses him of stealing her iPhone, seems to have a history of creating disturbances in hotels. She was even arrested for a dust-up she instigated back in February.
According to TMZ, Ponsetto had a run-in with cops after an alleged incident at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills back in February.
Ponsetto and her mom, Nicole, apparently wore out their welcome, causing the Peninsula’s staff to order them to leave the hotel, but the women refused. Law enforcement sources TMZ, someone from the hotel called police, claiming the women looked drunk and refused to leave, but when Beverly Hills cops showed up to handle the situation, Miya’s mother allegedly kicked and pushed a cop, causing both women to be arrested.
Ponsetto’s mother was arrested on a charge of battery on a police officer, and both women were charged for being drunk in public. They have a hearing on that case later this month.
But the drama didn’t stop there, the D.A. in L.A. County charged both women on May 27, 2020, and the next day, Miya was arrested again, but this time for drunk driving. She pled no contest and was sentenced to three years probation, 30 hours of community service in that case, and she must participate in a 9-month alcohol/drug counseling program.
