Sally Jane Demarais-Smith, 52 was found dead inside of her 2005 Toyota Corolla in a storage unit, according to Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter.
Damarais-Smith had been missing since September 25. She was last seen in Great Falls, Montana. An investigation is underway. Police have not said whether they believe Damarais-Smith was a victim of foul play.
She worked as a speech and language pathologist at an elementary school. She also worked as a spin class instructor.
“Talk about a wonderful, warm person. You know, at 6 a.m. nobody’s warm and wonderful and fuzzy, but she is,” said Jill Van Heel, a fifth-grade teacher at Meadow Lark Elementary School, where Damarais-Smith worked.
Troy Smith, the victims’ husband, told the Tribune that he drove around looking for her.
“She is our rock, she is our foundation in our family, and everything evolves or revolves around her,” said Troy Smith, MontanaRightNow.com reported.
