Mom, 2-Year-Old Son, Fall to Their Deaths at San Diego’s Petco Park

On Saturday afternoon, right before the San Diego Padres were about to play against the Atlanta Braves, a mother and her toddler son fell to their deaths.

The two fell from the concourse level of the stadium to the below sidewalk, CNN reported.

Responding officers found the bodies of the 40-year-old mother and 2-year-old and attempted CPR but weren’t able to save them.

Investigators from the San Diego Police Homicide Unit also were called to the scene “out of an abundance of caution” after authorities said the deaths “appeared to be suspicious.”

They are now looking for evidence and witnesses who may have seen the fall.
