British rapper Monie Love denies ever having a threesome with Tupac Shakur and musician and radio personality Miss Jones.
During an episode of the hit podcast Drink Champs, Jones shared a story about how she, Tupac and Love allegedly spent some more-than-intimate time together. “I’m with Monie, and he stops and looks at us,” begins Jones. “So, we, like. We know what the look means, and we figure it out. And it was a good night.” N.O.R.E. then asks, “Pac and Monie had some relations?” She responded, “Three of us, just the three of us, talked for a long time.”
This week, Love sat down with The Breakfast Club’s radio show and cleared up the alleged rumors. “Is there any truth to that?” Envy questioned. Love responded, “No.” When Envy inquired about how Jones came up with the story, Jones explained her “complicated” relationship with the late and great rapper.
“The timeline’s off,” said Love. “When I was around Pac heavily, I didn’t even know Jonesey yet. I hadn’t met her yet. I remember everything about that night, though. I don’t remember whose party it was. I do remember she and I went together. As a matter of fact, if I’m not mistaken, she, I and Angie Martinez rolled up together.”
She continued: “I remember Pac being in there, and I remember him walking across the floor to say hi. We leaned in, and he hugged me. He hugged Miss Jones, too. And he leaned over, and he hugged me, and he did say something in my ear. It wasn’t on the same side as my body as Jonesey was on. It was on this side,” explains Love, pointing to her right shoulder.
“What he said to me was, ‘I don’t care how many times you get married, you gone always be my n-word. Verbatim.”
Love went on to say that she and Pac never dated but that Pac “wanted to call it that.” She added that the two did sleep in the same bed “every night on tour.” She went on to explain that with tour life, artists would normally shack up in rooms and keep one another company as friends. She explains that she and Pac would engage in intimate actions like kissing but never had sex.
“I didn’t want to mess that part up, and I felt like, if we did cross that threshold, I felt like we were going to mess that part up,” said Love.
