Don’t Cash That Check Yet.. Monster Suing Dr. Dre Over Beats Headphones

Monster sued Beats Electronics, because Monster says it invented Beats, and that Beats stole its property and ran away.

The complaint filed today in San Mateo Superior Court alleges that Dr. Dre, along with Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine, defrauded and “betrayed” Monster CEO Noel Lee when the companies split back in 2012.

To be more specific, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine concealed business dealings on its way to selling to Apple in a $3 billion deal made last year.

Monster also notes that Beats began to attack with back-room dealings dating back to the 2012 CES show where Beats representatives threatened to yank products if they had to share the same shelf space.

Beats so far has not made comment
