Morgan Freeman is urging people receive the COVID-19 vaccine in a new public service announcement.
The 83-year-old “Invictus” actor appeared in a commercial in collaboration with the Creative Coalition and the National Blue Ribbon Task Force titled “Be There. This Is Your Shot.” He acknowledged that people tend to follow his lead, so he is lending his celebrity to spread awareness about the vaccine.

Freeman states that “I’m told that, for some reason, people trust me,” therefore, “if you trust me, you’ll get the vaccine.” He goes on to add that receiving the shot is a way of looking out for one another and defeat the virus once and for all.
“Help make our world a safe place for us to enjoy ourselves again. Please.”
Robin Bronk, CEO of the Creative Coalition, believes that celebrities can ease hesitation and inspire fellow Americans to “roll up their sleeves and get vaccinated.”
Freeman is the latest star to spread the word about the vaccine. Tamron Hall, Oprah Winfrey, and Rosario Dawson have all shown their support for the shot.
