2021 has been one crazy year but we have officially made it to the end. Each month from beginning to end has been filled with WTF moments, sad moments, happy moments, and congratulations. What we can all agree on is in 2021 the unexpected most definitely happen.

In January who could forget the biggest WTF moment of the year when the United States Capitol was stormed by Donald Trump supporters.

Or when news broke on social media that T.I. and Tiny were being accused of sexual assault by multiple women.

In February, Gorilla Glue Girl broke the Internet when  she slicked her hair down with super-holding Gorilla Glue.

Let’s not forget that Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West after 6 years.

Social Media was in an uproar in March when a video leaked of rapper Quavo and his now ex-girlfriend Saweetie getting into a physical altercation in an elevator.
Near the end of March “relationship guru,” Derrick Jaxn was exposed as a serial cheater and confessed to his wife that he cheated on her for the whole world to see.

On April 9th, we lost legendary rapper DMX following a drug overdose and subsequent heart attack.

Also in April, George Floyd’s family received Justice when Derek Chauvin was found guilty of murder.

In May, social media was in shambles when rapper Future’s lyrics leaked on 42 Dugg’s song “Maybach” of him saying, “Tell Steve Harvey I don’t want her,” referring to his former girlfriend Lori Harvey.

And let’s not forget when RHOA star Porsha Williams announced she was engaged to her former cast member and friend Falynn Guobadia’s ex-husband, Simon Guobadia.

Sometime in June, Trick Daddy said the unthinkable and implied that Beyonce couldn’t sing and the Beehive was ready to sting.

Or when Jada Pinkett Smith shared a never-before-seen poem from the late rapper Tupac Shakur.

Early July, Jovenel Moïse, Haiti’s embattled president was assassinated overnight when a group of people attacked the president’s private residence and killed him.

Sha’Carri Richardson was banned from the Tokyo Olympics in July for testing positive for marijuana. Social media was in an uproar when she couldn’t run seeing as though marijuana is legal in over 36 states in the US.

As of August of this year, Rihanna was dubbed the wealthiest female musician in the world and second only to Oprah Winfrey as the richest female entertainer, being worth $1.7 billion.

Also in August, actor Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis sparked a debate all over social media when they admitted that they didn’t bathe every day.

 

In September, Texas passed a law banning abortions after only 6 weeks.

For the first time ever in RHOP Reunion history, Nicki Minaj made an appearance as the show’s co-host alongside Andy Cohen in October.

Actor Alec Baldwin was involved in a tragedy shocking when he accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with a loaded prop gun on the set of his show “Rust.”

The month of November probably had the most viral moments of the year, including the Astroworld Tragedy, DaBaby and DaniLeigh’s fight on Instagram live, rapper Young Dolph being killed. There was also a petition to ban Will and Jada from speaking on their relationship, and the wildest chain of events that took place when Kyle Rittenhouse was found not guilty.

Unfortunately, we are ending the year still in a pandemic with the increase in Omicron cases, ruining the holidays for us all.
