An incident involving the mother of the shooting suspect at Club Q has been revealed to CBS News Colorado.
New details from the Colorado Springs Police Department reveal that Laura Voepel, the mother of Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, was arrested hours after the shooting.
A copy of the citation states that Voepel was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, disorderly conduct, and an “unclassified petty offense.”
The alleged incident reportedly occurred at an apartment complex a few hours after the shooting.
Voepel, 45, “was warned multiple times to stop yelling or should be arrested,” the citation reads. She’s accused of continuing to make “unreasonable noise directly next to multiple apartments” around 3:30 a.m.
She then “became combative by physically resisting officers” as an officer attempted to take her into custody.
As part of the investigation into the shooting at Club Q, body camera footage was requested but denied on Monday.
One neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed to have heard shouting from Voepel’s apartment or nearby.
