The mother of YNW Melly is pleading for her son’s release, fearing that he may be injured while in the Broward County jail or worse.
Following serious accusations against the corrections system made by Melly, Jamie Demons-King said she believes the jail “makes their own rules” regarding how they are treating the “Murder on my Mind” star. Days ago, Melly’s team released a statement on his behalf, stating that his phone privileges had been taken since May. He claims he violated “a harmless phone policy” by using another inmate’s pin to speak to his loved ones. According to the 23-year-old, the violation usually carries a 30-day penalty, but in his case, authorities have moved to permanently stop him from using the phone.
“I can not do another day here,” he shared in the post.

Demons-King is now shedding more light on her son’s treatment. She claims he is also unable to receive mail, and it is the staff’s fault at the jail.
“The things that they’re doing is not right. I’m going to call the county commissioner,” she told TMZ. Demons-King said Melly’s abuse claims are “heartbreaking” and even more difficult since she cannot do much to assist him.
In another December 3rd IG post, Melly called out several officers for their mistreatment of him. He claims they are “torturing” him and his family by refusing to let him communicate with them. Melly says he is now battling depression.
“It’s the worst feeling in the world to know you can’t do anything to help your child, and he’s suffering,” she stated.
Melly remains behind bars awaiting trial for the 2018 murders of his two friends Anthony Williams also known as YNW Sakchaser, and Christopher Thomas Jr., known as YNW Juvy. He has maintained his innocence.
