MTV is breaking boundaries with its first dating show that will feature all sexually fluid singles.
MTV’s “Are You The One?” will take 16 people to Hawaii for ten months to find their “perfect match,” who they will work with to win $1 million. However, the network wanted to do its eighth season a little differently by casting contestants who are not limited by gender when it comes to finding true love.
In addition, the show will also have a new relationship expert, Dr. Frankie, who specializes in working with the LGTBQ+ community, Yahoo Entertainment reports. MTV made the announcement on Thursday, and the show is set to premiere on June 26. “All the participants this season identify as sexually fluid, meaning there are no gender limitations when it comes to their PM. Finding love is fair game — so come one, come all,” MTV News reported Thursday.
So far the show’s upcoming season has been received with praise by fans. “Now this is how you cast a diverse dating show!! The first sexually fluid cast, we stan! #AYTO,” one Twitter user wrote.
