MTV Network Calls Original Jersey Shore Cast “Ungrateful” After They Disapproved Of The Revamped Show

MTV network responds to the cast of Jersey Shore.

Earlier this week, MTV announced they’re revamping the classic Jersey Shore show with an all-new cast. While many thought the change was a good idea, the original cast did not feel the same.

In a combined statement, The Situation, Snooki, JWoww, DJ Pauly D, Vinny, Denna, and Angelina, expressed their opinions on the change. The original seven cast members slammed the show saying, “… we are not in support of a version that will exploit our original show, our hard work, and authenticity to gain viewers.”

TMZ later reported they had spoken with MTV’s executives and felt blindsided by the statement. They added the network felt like the cast were “ungrateful” and said, “It’s disgusting they’d take a swipe at the network.”

The network also debunked the cast’s claims of MTV struggling before airing the Jersey Shore show.

Nevertheless, the original cast members still have a spot on the MTV network with their “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” show.
