For February, we compiled a list of must-watch TV series and movies to watch whether you’re at home due to the pandemic, having a movie night with friends, our booed up with bae.

Even though February is the shortest month, streaming services have not stopped providing us with must-watch TV during the pandemic.

Netflix’s streaming service undoubtedly has tons of new series and movies, but, unlike January, there isn’t much to be excited about this month. Still, there will be a few gems released:

February 2- “Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready, Season 2Tiffany Haddish is back for the latest installment of her comedy series about six diverse comedians (handpicked by Haddish herself) who showcase their raw humor in a series of specials.

February 3- “All My Friends Are Dead” is a movie about a group of friends attending a New Year’s Eve party who go through a whirlwind of events that exposes secrets, breaks hearts, and leads to an utterly shocking outcome.

Firefly Lane” is a drama series adapted from Kristin Hannah’s novel about a lifetime of friendship, a moment of betrayal, a generation of women who were both blessed and cursed by their choices.

February 5- Zendaya and John David Washington star in “Malcolm & Marie,” an intimate drama film about a couple who returns home after a movie premiere to await the film’s critical response. The evening then takes a turn as revelations about their relationship surface, testing the couple’s love.

February 10- “Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel ” is a New docu-series from The Ted Bundy Tapes’ creator looking into a guest abduction at the infamous hotel.

The World We Make” is a film about two 18-year-olds who are trying to build a life together, but their character is tested when racial bias surfaces in their otherwise progressive small town.

February 12- “To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean”  This movie is just in time for Valentine’s Day with its third entry added to the “To All The Boys” franchise.

Though Amazon Prime hasn’t been dropping too many newly released shows and movies, they do have a series and a movie that may be worth watching:

February 5- “Bliss” is a mind-bending love story following Greg (Owen Wilson) who, after recently being divorced and fired, meets the mysterious Isabel (Salma Hayek), a woman living on the streets and convinced that the polluted, broken world around them is just a computer simulation.

February 12- This series is just in time for Valentine’s Day. “The Map of Tiny Perfect Things” tells the story of a quick-witted teen contentedly living the same day in an endless loop whose world is turned upside-down when he meets mysterious Margaret, who is also stuck in the time loop. Mark and Margaret form a magnetic partnership, setting out to find all the tiny things that make that one day perfect.

Though streaming services really could’ve taken this month to represent Black History Month, they do have a few gems to occupy your time while you’re at home or having that weekend movie night.

Continue to check back each month to see what new movies and TV series are being released.
