Jimmy Butler found himself at the center of online speculation Wednesday night for a mysterious stain on his shorts during the Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks game.
Toward the end of the fourth quarter, a dark yellow mark appeared on the back of Butler’s shorts, but he didn’t seem to notice or acknowledge it.

While no one on the court pointed it out, NBA Twitter wasted no time reacting, with fans making their own assumptions about what might have happened.
“Jimmy Butler literally 💩 his pants 💀,” one user wrote, with other users sharing similar sentiments.
Another joked, “Did Jimmy Butler pull a Paul Pierce??” referencing the infamous 2008 NBA Finals incident where Pierce was wheeled off the court in a wheelchair—later admitting he only needed a bathroom break.
Despite the viral moment, Butler didn’t seem fazed and finished the game with 21 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. However, it was still a crappy night for the Warriors star, as Golden State fell to Dallas, 109-107.
