The NBA All-Star game, once a highly anticipated event, has lost some of its appeal over the last five years. Following the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, the NBA has struggled to replicate the competitive spirit that would attract fans to watch the game. Like Adam Silver said last night when gifting the Eastern Conference team with their bonus for winning.
“And to the Eastern Conference team, the Eastern Conference All-stars you scored the most points, well… congratulations. Giannis, your team, this trophy is yours.” This created a legendary meme that everyone on Twitter could not get enough of last night.

The East defeated the West, 211-186, in Sunday’s All-Star showdown. Karl Anthony Towns led the West All-Stars with 50. Meanwhile, the MVP Damian Lillard led the East with 39 points, three rebounds, and six assists. He was sensational, hitting shots from half-court and in front of defenders with little to no space available.

Draymond Green, Charles Barkley, Jamal Crawford, and Taylor Rooks’ alternative broadcast (ALTcast) was more enjoyable than the main broadcast. Barley and Green could not stop joking with each other throughout the whole night while also discussing the NBA landscape going into the second half of the season.

Dray’s future in NBA media is so bright, and this trio could find themselves sideline for a game commentating one day. Although Charles mentioned working the whole game compared to his regular weekly show, which is about an hour in totality throughout the night, it was an adjustment for him.
It was a weekend full of laughs, disappointing dunks, and a lot of questions on how this game can be improved next year. PAY THE PLAYERS! We can almost bet you they will play with some energy and some fire again. It is that simple, Adam Silver.
