While some of us are excited to exchange gifts and eat good food, others are prepping for a day of sports. So here it is, a look into the NBA on Christmas Day:
Undeniably the most anticipated matchup is set to tip-off at 5pm in Oakland,CA. The #Warriors and #Cavaliers will face-off for the first time since the Warriors were crowned champions back in June. Â Of course with #StephCurry and the Warriors’ having the best ever record coming into Christmas day with 27-1, many want to see if #LeBron James and the Cavs can do what only one team has been able to do this year, now that #KyrieIrving and #KevinLove are back in the lineup.
There’s also the LA face off between the #Clippers and the #Lakers at 10:30 pm. Though the Lakers haven’t been playing at an awfully high level this season, this is still a matchup that the city loves. Outside of the historical context off the game, this will also be the 16th and final time that #KobeBryant will play on Christmas.
Just before the LA game, another Western Conference matchup will tip-off at 8pm. The #Rockets and the #Spurs are set to face-off in Houston. With #JamesHarden and #DwightHoward, the Rockets will likely give the 2-seeded Spurs a great game.
The #Bulls and #Thunder will face off at 2:30 in Oklahoma City. With both teams being under a new head coach, there’s definitely something to look forward too. This will definitely be a battle between #KevinDurant and #RussellWestbrook and #DerrickRose and #JimmyButler.
Finally, there’s the matchup between the #Heat and #Pelicans. Set to face-off in Miami at 12 pm, this is the game the will open the #NBA’s Christmas Day. Though the Pelicans are currently at the tail-end of the Western Conference, the #AnthonyDavis is definitely not one to be slept on. Nevertheless #DwayneWade and #ChrisBosh along with a young talented #HasanWhiteside are sure to put on a show for the holidays.
