Josh Giddey is in the clear. Months after police concluded their investigation into allegations that the Oklahoma City Thunder star had an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl, the NBA has also wrapped up its probe.
Sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that the league officially closed its investigation this week. No further explanation was provided by the NBA.
Giddey was first accused of misconduct in November 2023, when photos and videos appearing to show him being intimate with a high school girl were posted on social media. The Newport Beach PD launched an investigation into the images shortly after but closed the case in January, stating they found no evidence that Giddey had committed a crime.
Throughout the investigations, Giddey did not publicly address the scandal. He continued to play and performed well, finishing the season with averages of 12.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Giddey also participated in all of the Thunder’s playoff games this postseason.
