NBA Community Reacts To Draymond Green’s Ejection vs. Suns

Draymond Green, just two weeks removed from his five-game suspension for putting Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in the headlock, is back at it again with his outlandish shenanigans.

Last night, during the Warriors’ match-up against the Phoenix Suns, the Michigan State alum swung back while trying to establish positioning and punched Suns center Jusuf Nurkić in the face.

Nurkic fell in pain, and Green was ejected for the flagrant foul. After the game, Draymond was apologetic and tried to explain to everyone what happened.

“He(Nurkić) was pulling my hip, and I was swinging away to sell the call, made contact with him. As you know, I’m not one to apologize for things that I meant to do, but I do apologize to Jusuf because I didn’t intend to hit him. I was just selling the call,” Green told the media after the game.

On the other hand, Nurkic suggested there may be something deeper going on with Green that encouraged his violent in-game reactions.

“What’s going on with him? I don’t know. Personally, I feel like that brother needs help,” Nurk said to the media postgame. I’m glad he didn’t try to choke me, but at the same time, it had nothing to do with basketball.”

Although consequences for the hard foul have yet to be revealed, Skip Bayless from FS1’s Undisputed opened up about how Adam Silver operates, explaining his belief that Green will be suspended for more than ten games.

“It might be more than ten games this time because this commissioner of this league is not going to like this one. Not on top of that one and that one and that one. This league cares about its image, what is the look of this? This is a really bad look for the league because the video is so egregious. As we agree, the hand opens, but if he lands with a closed fist, we’d have some blood on the court,” Bayless said in the latest episode of Undisputed.

In the meantime, NBA Twitter had a field day over Green’s unhinged behavior. Check out some of the funnier tweets from the last twelve hours since Green’s latest debacle.
