NBA D-league player Glen Rice Jr., who is also the son of former NBA All-Star Glen Rice, was shot in the leg during an altercation on Sunday night. The incident happened outside of Scales 925, T.I.’s new popular restaurant in downtown Atlanta. An argument first broke out between a group of guys, which included Rice Jr., inside the restaurant and they were ordered to leave. Once they got outside, they continued arguing and it quickly escalated into a full blown physical altercation, and Rice Jr. was shot in the leg.
The shooter fled the scene in a black sedan. Rice. Jr. also left; he got in a friend’s car and was driven to Emory Hospital. He was later transported to another hospital nearby.
Though Rice Jr. was the victim in this case, he is still being charged with reckless conduct and drug possession after cops searched the crime scene and found a stolen gun and backpack that contained 240 grams of weed, both of which belonged to Rice Jr. The suspect who shot him is still at large, but surveillance cameras obtained footage showing a man wearing a red shirt pulling the gun on Rice Jr.
