Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy has found himself under arrest once more.
The rapper, whose legal name is Kentrell Gaulden, was taken into custody by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office in Utah, where he currently resides, and subsequently booked into the Cache County Jail. Gaulden is facing an array of charges, including 20 counts related to the procurement or attempted procurement of drugs or prescriptions, forgery, and identity fraud. Additionally, he has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, possession of controlled substances, and engaging in a pattern of unlawful activity.
In Utah, the charge of a pattern of unlawful activity is defined as engaging in conduct that results in at least three instances of unlawful activities that are connected by similar characteristics such as purpose, results, or participants.
Gaulden’s legal representative, James Manasseh, has stated that he is in the process of gathering more details about the recent charges and therefore could not provide further comments at this time. The Sheriff’s Office has also mentioned that it does not release further details about the arrests of inmates.
Previously, Gaulden had been living under house arrest in Utah while he awaited trial for a felony gun charge in a federal case back in Baton Rouge. This charge arose from an incident during a 2020 music video shoot on Chippewa Street, where police detained Gaulden and others following a tip-off about armed individuals at the location.
NBA YoungBoy’s trial is scheduled to begin on July 15. This is a developing story, and more details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.
