NBA YoungBoy, born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is currently under federal investigation.
According to Baton Rouge’s District Attorney, Hillar Moore Gaulden is under investigation for a September 2020 music video shoot. Sixteen individuals, including Gaulden, were arrested during the shoot for drug and weapons charges.
The rapper is already a convicted felon who is not allowed to possess a firearm. Therefore, Youngboy violated both state and federal laws. No formal charges were made against the 21-year-old rapper.
The rapper’s lawyer, James Manasseh, recently filed a motion to have him removed from bond supervision. A judge also ordered the return of YoungBoy’s items, including over $40,000 in cash and a $300,000 cashier’s check.
“ The Office of the District Attorney has returned Mr. Gaulden’s seized property, and there is no indication that the State intends to file a Bill of Information against Mr. Gaulden,” the motion states.
