Months after it was revealed that Nelly and Ashanti were getting their own reality series, a title has officially been unveiled for the series, premiering next month.
The couple is inviting fans into their love story with “Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together,” premiering in June 2025 on Peacock. The eight-episode series will follow the married couple as they adjust to newlywed life, parenthood, and busy music careers.
According to Peacock’s press release, the show “follows the electrifying journey of this beloved couple as they reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life, and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers. Can this unstoppable duo prove that their love truly can conquer all? A fun-filled exploration of love’s second chances.”
Their unique journey began back in 2003 at the Grammy Awards, but after a 2013 breakup, they reconnected during the 2021 Verzuz battle between Ja Rule and Fat Joe. By September 2023, they confirmed they were back together. In April 2024, they revealed they were engaged, expecting a child, and already legally married for months.
In an appearance on “The Bootleg Kev Podcast,” the “Country Grammar” star shared, “Once we found out that she was pregnant…I didn’t want her to be a baby mama.”
Their son, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, was born on July 18th, 2024.
