U.K. police dropped their investigation into Nelly and, in turn, the rapper opened up about his experience.
Nelly dodged a rape accusation in September, but another incident abroad followed soon after. An anonymous woman claimed she fell victim to him after a show in December 2017. She allegedly went backstage to his dressing room for a meet-and-greet at Cliffs Pavilion in Southend, according to BBC. Fortunately for him, foreIgn investigators ended their search into the claims simply because the woman refused to testify.
When the news was released, he stated to FOX News, “I am very thankful to the U.K. police for thoroughly investigating the false allegations against me, and I am satisfied with the results of this case and the previous one in the US, both driven by the same attorney, both being dropped.”
He went on to express his support for women and excitement to get back into making music for his loyal fans.
”I stand with women and real survivors and can’t wait to just focus on what I love, family, music and reconnecting with the fans that have stood by me through these turbulent times.”
